Hair Loss Solutions

Losing hair can quietly change how you feel about yourself. At The Vintage Avenue in Biggleswade we offer non-surgical hair loss solutions for women, made to match your own hair so that the result looks, moves and feels like it belongs to you.

There is no surgery, no medication and no off-the-shelf wig. Every solution is chosen for your hair, your scalp and your life, and it always starts with a private £10 Hair Loss Consultation.

More information

Is this for you?

Our hair loss solutions are designed for women experiencing:

  • Thinning hair across the top of the head or all over
  • A widening parting or a thin crown
  • Menopause hair loss and hormonal thinning
  • Alopecia, including alopecia areata and bald patches
  • Hair growing back after chemotherapy, once your scalp is ready and your medical team agrees
  • Fine or fragile hair that cannot hold extensions

If you are not sure which of these describes you, that is completely fine. Working it out together is what the consultation is for.

How it works

  1. Hair Loss Consultation. A private, 30-minute appointment for £10. We look at your hair and scalp, listen to what you would like, and recommend the right solution.
  2. Designed for you. We take the shape and measurements we need, and choose colour, length and density together.
  3. Made to order. Your mesh or topper is prepared especially for you.
  4. Fitting, cut and blend. We fit your new hair and style it so there is no visible join.
  5. Aftercare and maintenance. You leave knowing exactly how to look after it, and we see you regularly to keep everything comfortable and fresh.

Every hair loss solution starts with a conversation. Book your £10 Hair Loss Consultation and leave with a clear plan and a personal quote.

Living with your new hair

Your hair system is made to fit into everyday life:

  • Breathable. The mesh and the skin-like base both let air reach your scalp, so they stay comfortable to wear.
  • Washable. You wash and condition it at home with the right products.
  • Styled your way. Blow dry, straighten and curl, using heat protection and keeping tools at 180°C or below.
  • Active days. It stays secure through exercise and a normal routine.
  • Discreet. It is designed to blend with your own hair, so the only person who needs to know is you.

Swimming needs a little care, particularly with chlorine and sea water. We will talk you through what is right for your system at your consultation.

Looking after it

Good aftercare keeps your hair looking its best for longer. Your stylist will give you a full guide, but the essentials are:

  • Use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner made for hair extensions
  • Keep conditioner, oils and masks away from the roots, mesh or base
  • Brush gently, starting at the ends and working up
  • Sleep on a silk pillowcase or with your hair in a loose braid
  • Keep your maintenance appointments, so we can refresh the fit and check your scalp

With the right care, a Bespoke Skin Hair Topper can last up to 12 months.

A note about the cause of hair loss

Our solutions are cosmetic. They restore the look and feel of fuller hair, but they do not treat or diagnose the cause of hair loss. If your hair loss is new, sudden or worrying, please speak to your GP or a trichologist first. We are always happy to work alongside the advice you have been given.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a consultation before a hair loss fitting?
Yes. Every hair loss solution starts with a private, 30-minute Hair Loss Consultation costing £10. It lets us look at your hair and scalp, understand what you would like, and recommend the right system before anything is made.
What is the difference between mesh integration and a hair topper?
Mesh Hair Integration suits all-over thinning, where you still have some hair of your own to draw through the mesh. A Bespoke Skin Hair Topper suits bald patches, alopecia or a thin crown or parting, and is made from a cast of your scalp with a skin-like base. We will recommend the right one at your consultation.
How much does a hair loss solution cost?
The consultation is £10. Mesh Hair Integration and Bespoke Skin Hair Toppers are priced individually after your consultation, because every system is made to order for your hair.
Can I wash and style my hair as normal?
Yes. You can wash it at home with sulfate-free products, and blow dry, straighten or curl it using heat protection, with tools at 180°C or below. Your stylist will give you a full aftercare guide.
Will people be able to tell?
Both systems are matched to your colour, texture and density, then cut and blended into your own hair, so they are designed to look natural. The skin-like base of a topper is made to look like your own scalp at the parting.
Is this suitable after chemotherapy?
It can be, once your hair has started to grow back, your scalp is ready and your medical team is happy. We will talk this through carefully at your consultation.
Do you treat the cause of hair loss?
No. Our solutions are cosmetic and do not diagnose or treat the cause of hair loss. If your hair loss is new or sudden, please see your GP or a trichologist first.
