Hair Loss Consultation
The Hair Loss Consultation is where every hair loss solution at The Vintage Avenue begins: a private, 30-minute appointment for women with thinning hair or hair loss, costing £10.
Deciding to do something about hair loss is a big step, and you should never feel rushed into it. Your consultation is a calm, private half hour to talk about your hair, ask anything you like and find out what is possible. There is no obligation to go ahead.
What happens at your consultation
- We listen. You tell us how your hair has changed, how it makes you feel and what you would love it to look like.
- We look closely. We check your hair and scalp, where the thinning or loss is, and how much of your own hair there is to work with.
- We match. We look at your natural colour, texture, curl and density, so any new hair blends with your own.
- We recommend. We explain whether Mesh Hair Integration or a Bespoke Skin Hair Topper is the better fit for you, and why.
- We plan. You leave with a personal quote, an idea of timings and an understanding of the aftercare involved.

The consultation is for any woman who is worried about her hair, including:
- Thinning across the top of the head or all over
- A widening parting or a thin crown
- Hair loss during or after the menopause
- Alopecia, including bald patches
- Hair growing back after chemotherapy
- Fine or fragile hair that cannot hold extensions
How to prepare
- Come with your hair as you normally wear it, so we can see your everyday look
- Bring photos of how your hair used to look, or a style you love
- Make a note of any advice you have had from your GP, trichologist or medical team
- Write down your questions, however small they seem

After your consultation
There is no pressure to decide on the day. Take your quote home, think it over and call us when you are ready. If you would like to go ahead, we will book your fitting by phone and begin preparing a system made especially for you.
Every system is made to order, so mesh integrations and toppers are priced individually once we know exactly what you need.
A note about the cause of hair loss
Our consultation is a cosmetic assessment. We can tell you what will help your hair look and feel fuller, but we cannot diagnose why your hair is thinning. If your hair loss is new, sudden or worrying, please speak to your GP or a trichologist first. We are happy to work alongside any advice you have been given.
