Ready-made toppers are designed to fit everyone, which is why they can feel heavy, hot or obvious. A Bespoke Skin Hair Topper is made for you alone, from a cast of your own scalp, so it sits flat, feels light and gives you a parting that looks completely natural.

Our toppers are made using the ICONIC SKINN™ system, which we trained in with Iconic Mane.

Who it suits

  • Women with alopecia, including alopecia areata
  • Women with bald patches or areas where hair no longer grows
  • Women with a thinning hairline, crown or parting
  • Women with too little hair to hold a mesh integration
  • Women with fine or fragile hair that cannot take the tension of other methods

How it works

  1. Consultation. We assess the area, talk about your goals and check a topper is right for you.
  2. Scalp cast and design. We take a cast of the area to be covered, so your system is shaped precisely to your head.
  3. Custom system preparation. Your topper is made on a thin polymer base, with your chosen colour, length and density.
  4. Application, cut and blend. It is applied with a specialist adhesive, then cut and blended into your own hair.
  5. Aftercare guidance. You leave knowing exactly how to wash, style and care for it.

The breathable base

Look closely at the base and you will see something you might not expect:

  • A polymer base that is thin, soft and lightweight
  • Small breathable holes, part of the design, letting air flow through while you wear it
  • Hair injected into the base, so the hair appears to grow naturally from your scalp

The result is hair that looks like it belongs to you, right down to the parting.

No shave, no beads, no net

Your own hair stays part of the picture. A Bespoke Skin Hair Topper is applied with adhesive, without shaving your head and without beads or a mesh net.

Living with it

  • Comfortable. The lightweight base is made for everyday wear.
  • Washable. Wash and condition it at home once or twice a week.
  • Styled your way. Blow dry, straighten and curl with heat protection, at 180°C or below.
  • Active days. It stays secure through exercise and a normal routine.
  • A natural parting. The skin-like base looks like your own scalp, close up.

Aftercare

  • For the first 48 hours, do not wash it, and avoid pools, saunas and steam rooms while the adhesive settles
  • Wash once or twice a week with sulfate-free products, and rinse for at least five minutes
  • Condition from the mid-lengths down and keep oils, masks and heavy conditioners off the base, as they can weaken the bond
  • Brush gently two or three times a day with a soft-bristle or extension brush, starting at the ends
  • Blow dry until mostly dry before styling, on a medium heat, with tools at 180°C or below
  • Sleep on silk, or with your hair in a loose braid or low ponytail

How long it lasts

With the right care and regular maintenance, a Bespoke Skin Hair Topper can last up to 12 months. At each maintenance appointment we safely remove the system, cleanse your scalp, refresh the adhesive and check your scalp health before refitting.
