What's Included

A considered, step by step colour service focused on natural, polished results.

  • Personal consultation to understand your colour goals and maintenance preferences.
  • Shade match for roots, with targeted grey coverage and soft blending.
  • Partial highlights focused through the face frame, parting and crown for subtle brightness.
  • Personalised toner or gloss to refine tone, neutralise warmth and boost shine.
  • Cleanse and condition to protect the hair, with a light dry to check the blend.
  • Aftercare guidance and a maintenance plan tailored to your hair.

Who It's For

Perfect if you want your roots covered and a fresh lift around the face without committing to a full head of foils. Suits brunettes, blondes and redheads seeking a refined, natural result that grows out softly.

If you are looking for a major colour change or high impact brightness throughout, a different service such as full head highlights or a lightening plan will be recommended.

Duration & Appointment Timing

Allow around 2 to 2.5 hours for shoulder length hair. Thicker or longer hair may take a little longer due to the number of foils and processing time.

For upkeep, many clients book root tints every 4 to 6 weeks, refreshing partial highlights every 8 to 12 weeks. Your schedule can be adjusted to suit your regrowth and desired brightness.

Aftercare & Maintenance

Use sulphate free, colour safe shampoo and conditioner, and always apply heat protectant before styling. A weekly moisture mask helps keep hair supple and glossy.

Blonde tones benefit from a purple shampoo once a week to reduce brassiness. Warmer brunettes and coppers may prefer a gloss or tonal refresh between visits.

Limit very hot water and UV exposure to preserve vibrancy. Book a toner between appointments if you want to revive tone and shine.

Cannot recommend enough. So much care and attention throughout. At the consultation Sydney made sure she completely understood what I liked and honestly advised what would suit me to ensure I would be happy with the result. She exceeded my expectations with the end result, I’m so happy with my hair, beautifully blended and suits my colouring. Was so well looked after during my colour and cut was so pampering. Also advised on products to help my hair for aftercare. Thank you so much

Can’t recommend The Vintage Avenue highly enough! Everyone there is SO welcoming and lovely. Want to especially mention Jayne and Chloe who were so fab to chat to and did the best job of my hair - have never been so pleased with the colour after years of trying to achieve a certain blonde! They both took their time to really understand what I wanted and looking forward to my next appointment 😊

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between partial highlights and a full head?
Partial highlights focus on the face frame, parting and crown, adding brightness where it shows most. A full head includes the back and underneath for all over lightening and takes longer.
Will this service cover my greys and still look natural?
Yes. The root tint covers greys while the highlight placement softens the result, so the finish looks blended rather than blocky.
How long will the results last?
Root coverage typically looks fresh for 4 to 6 weeks, depending on regrowth. Highlights grow out softly and usually last 8 to 12 weeks before you may want a refresh.
Do I need a skin test before my appointment?
A skin test is required before any new tint or if your last test was over six months ago. It must be completed at least 48 hours before your visit.
Will this damage my hair?
Colour is applied with controlled timing and gentle formulas to protect the hair. Bonding treatments and the right at home care help maintain strength and shine.
